From one text to a heads up
Point me to the page
Send the link, or tell me the rec center and I’ll find it. Say what you’re waiting for, like registration opening or a Saturday class showing up.
Pick how often and when to stop
Every morning, every Monday, or until the change shows up. I’ll see it at my next check, not the minute it posts.
I text you what changed
You get what the page says now and a link to it. Signing up and paying stay with you.
More you can ask for
- Check the rec center’s page every morning and tell me when swim lessons open.
- Tell me when this page lists a Level 2 class on Saturdays.
- Check this bike’s page at the shop every evening and tell me if the price drops.
- Check this theater’s page every morning and tell me when new show dates go up.
- Check the city’s road work page each morning and tell me when our street is listed.
- Pause the swim lesson checks for now. I’ll tell you when to start them again.
What you get back
Where things stand now
When you set it up, I read the page and tell you what it says today, so you know what I’m waiting for.
A text when it changes
I check on your schedule and only text when the change you asked about shows up, with what’s new and a link to the page.
Reminders and ongoing workChecks you can change
Ask me what I’m watching, change how often, pause it, start it again, or stop it. The checks run online, so nothing has to stay open.
Questions people ask
How fast will I hear?
At Buddy’s next check. He checks on a schedule, not live. If a few hours matter, ask him to check more often.
Will Buddy sign her up?
Not from a watch. A heads up isn’t a sign-up or a payment. If you want help registering, ask him for that separately. Sign-ins and payment happen on the site itself, through a handoff link, never in chat.
What kinds of pages can he watch?
Public pages anyone can open without signing in work best. A page behind a sign-in works only if Buddy already has access. A schedule doesn’t give him any. Tell him the specific change you want, like registration opening or a class appearing.
How do I change or stop it?
Tell Buddy in the conversation where you set it up. He can change the timing, pause it, start it again, or stop it. In the VXBE desktop app, Settings, then Scheduled work, shows it too.
Does my phone or computer need to be on?
No. The checks run online. You only need to see the text when it comes.
