Buddy for subscriptions
Send me a card or bank statement. I’ll list what looks like a subscription, what each one costs, and what they add up to.
A dad in Savannah, Georgia, wondering why the card bill keeps creeping up.
Send me a statement and I’ll find what repeats. When one has to go, I’ll open their site and hand you the screen to sign in.

From a statement to a short list
Send me the statement
Attach a PDF or an export from your card or bank’s site. Cover the account number if you like; I only need the charges.
I find what repeats
Each charge that looks like a subscription, what it costs, and the total. Send two or three months and I can tell you which ones went up.
You decide what goes
Name the one you want gone. I’ll open the company’s site, hand you my screen to sign in, then finish and tell you what their page says.
More you can ask for
- Here’s my card statement. What subscriptions am I paying for?
- Here’s a year of statements. Which subscriptions renew once a year, and when?
- Am I paying for two things that do the same job?
- Cancel the meal kit, and bring me in to sign in.
- Look up whether my streaming service has a cheaper plan, and what it costs.
- Remind me two days before the gym charges each month.

Questions people ask
Can Buddy read my bank account directly?
He works from the statement or export you send. Download it from your card or bank’s site and attach it to your message.
Will he tell me which ones to cancel?
That’s your call. Buddy isn’t a financial advisor. He shows what each one costs and points out overlaps, like two plans that do the same thing, and you decide.
Does he need my password to cancel?
No. When a site needs you to sign in, Buddy sends a “Take over Buddy’s screen” link. You type your password into the company’s own page, and he picks up from there. Never paste a password or card number into chat.
What if a cancellation doesn’t go through?
Buddy tells you what the company’s page said, or what still needs you. Some sites refuse access or need a step he can’t do, and he’ll say what remains. If you’re unsure, ask him to check before trying again.
