Buddy for birthday cards
Send me a photo and tell me who it’s for. I’ll make a card from it and send it back, ready to share or print.

Both versions of Dana’s card are ones Buddy painted from this photo.

From one photo to a card
Send the photo and the name
Tell me who it’s for, how old they’re turning, and a joke or detail only they’d get. If someone in the photo has to look like themselves, say so.
I make the card
I build it from your photo and the words you want on it. Tell me what to change and what has to stay, and I’ll make another version.
Send it on
Save it from the thread and send it yourself, or ask for a PDF to print. For something the whole family can open in a browser, ask for a link.
More you can ask for
- Make a birthday card for my sister from this photo.
- Make a card for my nephew’s 7th: a dinosaur in a space suit, since he loves both.
- Same card, but make the words bigger and keep the picture.
- Write a short poem for the inside of the card about our lake summers.
- Make a little birthday page for Dad that the whole family can open.
- Remind me two days before Dana’s birthday every year.
What you get back
A card made from your photo
The picture you sent, made into a card with the words you chose. Check names and spelling before you send it, since words in pictures are easy to get wrong.
Images and videoAnother version when you want one
Bigger words, different colors, a gentler joke. Say what to change and what to keep, and I’ll make a new one.
A copy to print
Ask for a PDF and print it at home.
Work with filesA link the family can open
A small page anyone with the link can open in a browser. It stays up for 72 hours unless you ask me to keep it live.
How shared pages work

The lake photo, painted, with words big enough to read without glasses.
Made by Buddy from this request.
Questions people ask
Can Buddy send the card to my sister?
He can email the card to your own verified address, and you send it on. To email Dana directly, connect an email app and give him her address.
What if a face or a word comes out wrong?
Tell Buddy exactly what to fix and what should stay the same, and he’ll make another version. Check faces, small details, and spelling before you send it.
Can he remind me next year?
Yes. Ask for a reminder and he’ll text you before her birthday next year. Telling him the date alone doesn’t set one.
