Teach Buddy a Skill

Keep a useful way of working and change it as you go.

When you have a useful way of doing something, you can teach it to Buddy. A Skill keeps a reusable procedure so you don't have to explain the method from scratch each time.

When you prepare my weekly project update, group it into what's finished, what's waiting on someone, and what needs a decision. Keep the names and dates with each item.

That's a way of working. A preference or fact about your life may belong in memory instead. You don't need to decide which system to use before speaking naturally.

Refine it as you go

Tell Buddy when the method needs changing. He can revise a learned Skill, restore an earlier version, or forget a learned procedure when you ask. He can also retain a genuinely reusable method from successful work; not every completed request needs to become a Skill.

See and change your Skills

Your Skills page at vxbe.space/account/skills shows every Skill your account has, from any browser or phone, once you sign in with your Buddy account. Buddy can send you the link when you ask. There you can turn built-in and added Skills off or back on, change the steps of a learned Skill, undo its last change, or forget it, and add new ones by searching, pasting a skill link, or writing your own. In the VXBE desktop app, Settings, then Skills, has the same controls apart from writing your own.

Built-in, added, and learned Skills have different origins, so the controls available for them differ.

A method doesn't start the work

A Skill helps Buddy carry out something you've asked for. It doesn't grant new access, schedule recurring work by itself, or authorize sending, buying, or sharing. If you want a method used on a schedule, ask for that future work as well.

Keep passwords and other secrets out of a procedure. Use the appropriate account connection or dedicated input when the work needs access.
