Privacy and your data

Review privacy choices, export your data, or delete your account.

Buddy uses the information needed to answer you and carry out your requests. That can include your conversations, shared files, remembered context, and information from accounts you connect.

This page explains the practical controls. The Privacy Policy is the full account of how VXBE handles information, including service providers, retention, and exceptions.

You can just ask Buddy how to review your information or where to find a control. He can handle supported memory changes in the conversation. Exporting your data and deleting your account use the separate controls described below.

What happens to information you share

VXBE stores conversation and work information so Buddy can respond, continue work, and show what happened. Relevant service providers may process information needed for a request. Connecting an outside app also involves that service's own policies.

VXBE does not train its own models on your conversation content. Ordinary VXBE-funded AI processing is configured to disallow provider training, but that does not mean every provider has zero temporary retention. Read the AI processing section of the policy for the scope and exceptions.

Content review for product quality is off by default. Deliberately sharing feedback and narrow security screening have separate handling described in the policy.

Change what Buddy remembers

You can ask Buddy what he remembers, correct information, or ask him to forget a particular memory. Memory explains how this differs from conversation history and account deletion.

Save a copy of your data

In the VXBE desktop app's privacy settings, Download your data, then Save my data, downloads the account data available for export, including conversations, settings, files, and remembered information. Some memory information is excluded; the download describes what it includes and leaves out. Keep it somewhere you trust, since it can contain personal information.

The copy covers information held by VXBE, not the entire contents of the outside services you've connected.

Delete your account

You can delete your account on the web or in the VXBE desktop app. On the web, sign in at vxbe.space/account/profile (or choose Account on the membership page) and choose Delete account. In the VXBE desktop app, it's in the privacy settings. Either way, the confirmation asks you to type the email address on your account and choose Delete permanently. This can't be undone, and you'll be signed out after the request is accepted.

If you have a plan, it won't renew and you won't be charged again. Your account and conversations are deleted right away, and access ends today, even if you paid through a later date.

Deletion covers account information stored by VXBE. Some billing, security, dispute, or legally required records may need to be retained. It doesn't retract information already sent to another person or erase copies you saved elsewhere. Acceptance of the request isn't a promise of instant erasure from every system.
