Plans, dates, and weather

Bring the details of your day together and plan around what matters.

Buddy can help turn a date or an idea into a practical plan. Tell him where you are going, what matters to you, and what you need to decide. He can bring together information you share, current research, and a weather forecast when those would help.

We're taking the kids to a park near Denver this weekend. Check the weather, suggest a good time, and make a short packing list with an indoor backup.

Plan around current conditions

Buddy can look up current weather and the available daily forecast for a place, and check weather alerts where supported. For a trip beyond the forecast, ask him to check again closer to the date.

If the place isn't already clear from your conversation, tell him which one you mean.

Keep dates in the right place

Buddy can remember an event you tell him about, such as a trip or appointment, so it can inform a later conversation. You can ask what dates he knows about and ask him to forget a particular one. Remembering a date doesn't automatically set a reminder or add an event to your calendar.

Ask for a reminder when you want one. Buddy uses the time zone he knows for you; mention a different one when it's relevant, such as a trip abroad. Reminders and ongoing work explains how to change or stop a follow-up.

If you've moved, tell him where you live now. For a temporary trip, tell him where you're going and when you'll be back so he can keep his sense of time aligned with yours. Let him know if you come home early.

To check whether you're free or to read and change calendar events, he needs a supported connected calendar. Tell him what you'd like to do, and he can help you connect it if needed. The available actions depend on that connection.

Ask Buddy to put the plan in a document or spreadsheet if you want something to revisit. If a reservation, purchase, or message is part of the plan, be clear about the intended next step and any limits that matter.
