Ask Buddy to make an image, change a picture you share, or turn part of a video into a file you can use. Tell him what you want the result to show and where you plan to use it.
Make a warm, hand-painted invitation image for our backyard dinner. Leave room for me to add the date later.
Make or change an image
Buddy can create an image from your description or edit one or more images you give him. For an edit, say what to change and what should stay the same, especially if a person, place, or particular detail matters. You can ask for another version after seeing the result.
He can also make a chart, diagram, or card as an image, or turn a shared image into a new JPEG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF file. Ask for the size or shape you need. Converting or resizing an image creates a new file and leaves the original intact.
Review an image before using it, especially faces, small details, and words meant to appear in the picture. If something is wrong, tell Buddy exactly what to fix.
Work with a video you already have
Buddy can inspect a video you share when its format and size can be read. You can ask him to:
- Save a short MP4 clip, cropped or resized for where you'll use it.
- Remove the sound or save the audio separately.
- Pick out a still frame.
- Make one image showing several frames from the video.
The built-in short-clip edits work with videos up to ten minutes long and produce clips of one to 60 seconds. The original stays intact. Longer editing requests may need a different approach; tell Buddy the full result you want rather than cutting it down yourself.
You can also ask him to convert a whole video to MP4 or save its full audio track as M4A. The upload controls will tell you if the file is too large to share. Conversion may continue after the current reply; Buddy should come back with the saved result when it finishes.
Creating an image and generating a video are different capabilities. These video tools work with footage you supply; they don't generate a new video from a written prompt.
A saved file and a sent file are different outcomes. If you want the result delivered in a text conversation or emailed to your account address, say so. Work with files explains how to find and open saved results.
