Bring Buddy something you want help understanding, or ask him to make a file you can use. Describe the result rather than the steps to produce it.
Make a spreadsheet comparing these quotes, with the total price, what's included, and the questions I still need to ask.
Share the material
Attach the relevant file in the conversation using the controls available in your app. Tell Buddy what you want from it: a summary, a comparison, an explanation, or something new based on the contents.
If a page is hard to read or a recording is unclear, Buddy may need a clearer copy or help with that part. Ask which part he couldn't read if the result seems incomplete.
Make something useful
Buddy can create Word documents, PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and text files. Tell him who it's for, what it needs to contain, and the format you want if you have a preference. You can ask him to revise the result after you see it.
He can also create or edit images and work with video. Describe what you want to see and what should stay the same.
For something interactive that others can open in a browser, read about shareable pages. Those links are public and have their own expiry rules.
For a collection of files, Buddy can use his own computer to organize, combine, or process them. For numbers and tables, working with data covers questions, comparisons, and cleaned-up spreadsheets. Say when you want a separate copy of something you're changing.
Keep working on a draft
Buddy can also create a document you and he can keep editing together in the VXBE desktop app. Ask for changes in the conversation or make your own edits in the document. This is a shared draft; it doesn't mean every Word file or PDF opens as a document you can both edit.
Choose Save after making your own edits. If Buddy saved a newer version while you were editing, the app offers a choice: load that version or replace it with your edits. Check which changes you want to keep before replacing it.
Find it again
Ask Buddy for a file you've shared or a result he's saved. A name, subject, or approximate date can help him find the right one. He can search files retained across your account; that doesn't mean files are kept forever or that deleted material can be recovered.
Follow the result link or attachment in the conversation to open or save it. If the file was created but didn't arrive, ask him to locate it before starting again. Creating a result, delivering it to you, and sharing it with someone else are separate actions.
You can ask him to email a result to your own verified email address, including saved files. Sending to someone else needs a suitable connected app and the recipient you want him to use.
Before sending a file on, check that it contains what you intended and no information you meant to keep private.
