You can give Buddy a clear request, let him work, and change your mind. You don't have to approve every ordinary research step or manage how he moves between tools.
Just tell him what you want to change. You can ask about what's happening, adjust a request, or ask him to help you find a setting. The controls below are there when you want a direct way to manage the work.
When Buddy needs you
Buddy may need a missing detail, an app connection, or a sign-in you must complete yourself. He may also need you to settle something important before going ahead, such as which person should receive a message or how much you're willing to spend.
Include those details in your request when you know them. You can ask him to prepare something for review or ask him to carry it through, with the limits you want him to follow.
Stop the current work
In the VXBE desktop app, Stop Buddy stops the active response in the selected conversation. In Activity, Stop this requests a stop for the selected work. These controls don't mean every future schedule has been canceled.
To pause, change, or remove a future follow-up, tell Buddy which one you mean in the conversation where it was set up. Scheduled work explains that distinction.
Stopping isn't an undo button. If a message was already sent or a change already completed, stopping later work doesn't reverse it. If the outcome is uncertain, ask Buddy to check what happened before repeating the action.
Choose what Buddy can use
In the VXBE desktop app, open Settings, then What Buddy can use, to turn available capabilities on or off. For example, you can control whether he can use a browser or work with connected accounts. A capability still needs any required service or account connection to be available.
Your connected accounts, remembered information, and privacy controls each affect different parts of the experience. Change the one that matches what you want to do.
Stop texts Buddy initiates
In iMessage, send STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE in all capitals as a message by itself to turn off Buddy's unsolicited texts. He will still answer when you text him. Send START by itself to turn that outreach back on.
This changes his texting preference. It doesn't stop work already running or cancel a reminder you've requested. Ask him to stop that work or remove that reminder when that's what you want.
